Support Campus Kitchen

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest University! Since 2006, we have recovered over 560,000 pounds of food to make over 130,000 meals and engaged over 13,000 volunteers. This would not be possible without the generous support from Wake Forest students, faculty and staff. A gift to Turkeypalooza helps sustain this annual tradition and also goes further to support the year-round efforts. Please consider making a gift this year to keep Campus Kitchen thriving for years to come!

Campus Kitchen

The Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest functions to re-purpose food in the Winston-Salem community that would otherwise have gone to waste. It functions as an asset-based approach to strengthening the Winston-Salem community by partnering with a network of civic, non-profit, and private organizations to develop innovative solutions to reduce food insecurity. In order to supplement fresh food donations, Campus Kitchen is planning a non-perishable food collection this fall. Check us out on Instagram!

Turkeypalooza 2021

It's time for Wake Forest Campus Kitchen’s largest annual event, Turkeypalooza! We will be cooking Thanksgiving meals from scratch to help our community members feel love and support during the holiday season. This year Campus Kitchen hopes to raise $3,000 to support Turkeypalooza. All funds will go towards ingredients for the meals we make and non-perishable food distribution.

This year we are celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest University! Please join us as we celebrate this milestone. On Friday, November 19th, we will host a reception at the lounge in Kitchin Residence Hall room 115 from 3-5 p.m. Please RSVP here.

With any questions regarding Turkeypalooza, please contact Ali Morton (mortae18@wfu.edu) or Sophie Brown (browjs18@wfu.edu) Co-Student Coordinators of Campus Kitchen.

Why are donations necessary?

Turkeypalooza would not be possible without donations, and we rely on the Wake Forest community and beyond to make it happen. Your gift will be used to purchase turkeys and sweet potatoes as well as ingredients for stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and pumpkin cookies sourced locally where possible. Donations from this campaign will also be put towards non perishable food donations that will supplement weekly fresh food donations during our winter break.
