Our community partners have come to anticipate this event with excitement and gratitude. Often, our volunteers that deliver the meals to each location have a chance to sit down with the recipients and enjoy the meal alongside them. Though Turkeypalooza will be different experience this year, we still hope to provide a special and nutritious meal to our partners while continuing to make the event as exciting as possible.
The Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest functions to re-purpose food in the Winston-Salem community that would otherwise have gone to waste. It functions as an asset-based approach to strengthening the Winston-Salem community by partnering with a network of civic, non-profit, and private organizations to develop innovative solutions to reduce food insecurity. In order to supplement fresh food donations, Campus Kitchen is planning a non-perishable food collection this fall. Additionally, Campus Kitchen is collaborating with the Wake Forest School of Business Graduate Student Coalition to prepare for Turkeypalooza. This is our largest annual event and we would love for you to be a part of it by donating now! Check us out on Instagram!
It's time for Wake Forest Campus Kitchen’s largest annual event, Turkeypalooza! We will be cooking Thanksgiving meals from scratch to help our community members feel love and support during the holiday season. This year Campus Kitchen and the School of Business Graduate Service Coalition have joined efforts to raise $3,000 to support Turkeypalooza. All funds will go towards ingredients for the meals we make and non-perishable food distribution.
Please contact Natalie Graham (email@example.com | 980-248-6050) Co-Student Coordinator, Campus Kitchen, or Shane Hogan (firstname.lastname@example.org | 912-508-4770) Communications Chair, School of Business GSC with questions!
Why we need your help!
Turkeypalooza would not be possible without donations, and we rely on the Wake Forest community and beyond to make it happen. Your gift will be used to purchase locally sourced turkeys and sweet potatoes as well as ingredients for stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and pumpkin cookies. Donations from this campaign will also be put towards non perishable food donations that will supplement weekly fresh food donations.
