Campus Kitchen!
The Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest (CKWFU) functions to re-purpose food in the Winston-Salem community that would otherwise have gone to waste. It functions as an asset-based approach to strengthening the Winston-Salem community by partnering with a network of civic, non-profit, and private organizations to develop innovative solutions to reduce food insecurity. Turkeypalooza is our largest annual event and we would love for you to be a part of it by donating now!
Turkeypalooza!
It's time for Wake Forest Campus Kitchen’s largest annual event, Turkeypalooza! We will be cooking around 300 Thanksgiving meals from scratch to help our community members feel love and support during the holiday season. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and all funds will go towards ingredients for the meals we make.
Why we need your help!
Our community partners have come to anticipate this event with excitement and gratitude. Often, our volunteers that deliver the meals to each location have a chance to sit down with the recipients and enjoy the meal alongside them. This event would not be possible without donations, and we rely on the Wake Forest community and beyond to make it happen. Your gift will be used to purchase locally sourced turkeys and sweet potatoes as well as ingredients for stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, and pumpkin cookies.
