What is the Volunteer Service Corps?

The Volunteer Service Corps is a student organization that supports philanthropic efforts in the community. We're compromised of a group of students dedicated to connecting Wake Forest to the wider Winston-Salem/Forsyth county community.

Donations are applied to...

Donations to the Volunteer Service Corps go to things like Project Pumpkin, DESK, and the current school supply campaign for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system through the Inspire340 program. Inspire 340 works to address critical student achievement gaps and improve third-grade reading and math proficiency. The money from the drive will be used to support teachers at the Inspire 340 schools through the purchase of high need school supplies. These education based initiatives help connect Wake Forest students directly with children in our community to promote learning. Our on campus traditions, such as Project Pumpkin and DESK, make campus more accessible for young minds who hopefully see themselves as college bound students one day.

Personal Message

This year, we are starting a new philanthropic tradition with you, the class of 2023. In the lead-up to orientation we are asking you to contribute to the Deacs Give Back challenge.
This year, the money raised will be for the Volunteer Service Corps. This supports projects like this years efforts to purchase school supplies for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School system.

If 75% of the first year class each give a $10 donation we will reach our $10,000 goal
